Award-winning director & screenwriter Emily Dell tells high-energy stories in action, genre and dance across platforms and borders.  In January 2018 she wrote, directed and edited TROUBLED YOUTH for CryptTV, with over 3.4 Million views in the first three weeks.  Her action short film BATTLE was picked-up for air by Robert Rodriguez’s El Rey Network in March, 2017.  Horror short HELEN, starring Aimee Garcia (DEXTER, LUCIFER, etc) premiered in competition in 2017 at BIFAN, the largest genre film festival in Asia.  HELEN continues to run at festivals worldwide and broke the single-day fundraising record on website Seed&Spark.

Dell’s last feature B-GIRL was released worldwide, and won “BEST FEATURE” at the LA Femme Film Festival and airs on Showtime, Starz, iTunesNetflix, Amazon and Alibaba.  She is attached to direct the action movie THE RULES OF BUSINESS for The China Film Group, the largest studio in China.  In commercials she directs for Los Angeles Brand Studio The Great Company, clients include Marvel Studios‘ DOCTOR STRANGE, PepsiCo, Fox Home Entertainment, Estee Lauder, The Science & Entertainment Exchange, Purina and she was recently awarded an ADDY for work for Ezra Productions.  She directs the comedy show “OMG” for DreamWorksTV.

Her recently completed graphic novel VERONA, for Emet Comics, is available on Amazon’s Comixology and bookshelves 2018.  For screenwriting platform ScreenCraft she creates screenwriting video and events worldwide, including the Austin Film Festival, Shanghai Film Festival, Nashville Film Festival and more featured in Variety, Huffington Post and Indiewire.

She has taught film for Emerson University, New York Film Academy and The Shanghai Film School.  Dell studied film at NYU and has a degree in Neurobiology from the University of California, Berkeley.  She is a member of the WGA, Film Fatales and is on the board of the Alliance of Women Directors.
